As salaamu alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh dear students We hope that you are in an increasing state of Imaan and good health. We would like to share with you a beautiful and heart touching story of a street kid of one of the slums of Lusaka (Garden Compound). Who reverted to Islam at the age of 9 and now he is 11 years old. He memorized 26 ajzaa’ of the Qur’an, mashaa Allah. Please listen to the beautiful recitation of this kid. There is a lesson for all of us to learn from his story, just close your eyes and imagine his life before, now and in the future. Current and former Lusaka residents will know exactly the current situation in Garden Compound – absolute abject poverty, filth and a stench from the nearby sewage waterworks/treatment plant of the city. Despite living in these terrible circumstances, all these trials didn’t stop him from memorizing the book of Allah (Al-Qur’an). Alhamdulillaah, we are really fortunate and blessed by Allah (SWT) that we have the opportunity of gaining the knowledge of Islam from the comforts of our home. We ask Allah (SWT) to bless this young boy and keep us all steadfast on the right path until we reach Jannah, Aameen. Ask your Lord

Allah is waiting..

The following words that are embedded on the video are completely touching and reminds us of who we are and where we are going. Sometimes, living in this vast world with our fancy gadgets and fast paced societies we forget that Allah awaits our call, H awaits our repentance and He gets very upset when we don’t ask. For verily we are in need of his help, every second of our life. His mercy is not a subject to joke about, but one that all mankind should work hard in reaping from.

I hope the following video makes you think and allow you to run back to Allah the Almighty.

*Note, regarding the title of he video I cannot verify if it really was Imam Ibn Hanbal’s words. Inshallah this should not stop us from reaping the benefits instilled in the seekers words.

and Allah knows best..

An empty Wish..

The most naive thing in my eyes is to linger in sin – with no regrets- hoping for a far off pardon and to come closer to Allah without doing anything and to wait for the harvest of Jannah while planting the seeds of hellfire – waiting for reward without performing any deeds.  Quote By Yahya Ibn Mu’adh
