Ramadan Reminder

Assalamu’alaykum

Narrated by ‘Abdullah bin Amr bun Al-As:

Allah’s Apostle said to me, “O Abdullah! Do not be like so and so who used to pray at night and then stopped the night prayer.”

Lets examine ourselves and ask whether we have continued the ibadah we were so eagerly doing during Ramadan, or have we abandon them? This should act as excellent reminder to us all, beginning with myself. Since we only have less that 4 months to go till another Ramadan enters our lives, lets start making changes from now. The Sahaba’s use to prepare months before Ramadan, and look at us today…we rush 24hours before Ramadan starts.

May Allah help us continue whatever small deeds or ibadah we were doing during Ramadan throughout the whole year. Ameen.

Ya Ummi…

Assalamu’alaykum,

How true is this statement, and isn’t it interesting how this wise man portrays the role a Muslim mother plays in the rearing of her children? May Allah guide Muslim parents to the right way and grant their children understanding of this Deen. Ameen.

“….Mothers play a great role in building a generation. The better a mother is at raising her children, the more successfully the Ummah is built and the more successful it is at producing heroes. You hardly ever see a great man except that a great woman is behind him who left some of her traits in his personality by way of the milk from which he was fed and the warm embrace in which he sought refuge.”
