Please have a read of the following and we hope you can all take advantage of what technology and internet has to offer to us in this day and age.
I found this great teacher on Youtube who recites the Quran with Tajweed and is slow enough for ANYONE to learn quran. I literally mean anyone, because I experimented this with my 3 year old, I sat her down and said there’s a quran teacher who would like to teach her Quran..she was excited. I turned it on and I said pay attention recite with him, he will talk to you. She believed me 100%, but then why not, the sheikh is so cool he talks to the audience, so no wonder why she felt it personal. She now calls him ‘My Teacher’, so every morning after I teach her (because this is our duty as parents) I give her 10 minutes with ‘her teacher’ to revise what she has learnt and go over anything difficult. I have found the youtube videos to be excellent at teaching her so I will continue using it. I pray everyone benefits from his videos. Its a blessing what we have available nowadays- Alhamdulillah!
Children are the greatest gifts anyone could be blessed with from Allah, but they can also be the biggest Amanah (trust) and burden a person could have. However, mix the ingredients well and you could achieve great results…because at the end of the day children are the biggest sponges available. They soak up everything…the good the bad and the ugly – if you allow them to ofcourse! Take advantage of this and teach them well..and the best teacher is YOU – they will copy LITERALLY anything displayed in front of their eyes…so beware because children see children do.
From an Anonymous sister, great advice embedded in the following script.
The Wise Mother
My husband and I disagreed about something. I did what I have always done when I had a difference of opinion with someone… I called my Mum. Before I could even finish my sentence, she asked me if I had prayed about it yet.
Before I could respond, she told me that she would not allow me to…call her and complain about my husband to her, nor would she allow me to discuss our arguments/disagreements with her.
I sat there stunned. Then she said something that has stuck with me for a very long time.
“My daughter, the thing is, because you love him the way you love him, when the argument is over it’s over. But, I don’t love him the way you love him, and it would be far too easy for me to pick up a grudge and carry it if I think he is wrong. You can’t do that to me, or to him. It simply isn’t fair.”So the next time you want to narrate the fight in your marriage to a third party ask yourself – Do I love my spouse? Does the person I’m reporting them to love them the way I do? Will they easily forgive them the way I will? If not then don’t pass them on to be crucified.
Your marriage is between you, your spouse and Allah. Everyone else is an outsider.
Our dearest readers today’s topic is of such importance that when we stumbled across a video that had what we were going to touch upon we didn’t hesitate to cut short our blog entry and simply just show you the video itself. However, as a side note this is the month of Muharam which marks a new Islamic Year – therefore lets take advantage of new years and make some goals that you would like to achieve this year and finding or being in the company of good people should be one of them. Inshallah. 🙂
We pray you are all well. Apologize for the delayed post, we have been having a small problem with the blog.
The 10th of Muharram (‘Ashura) 1436 AH will fall on Monday 3rd November
The Prophet,(sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam), said:
“For fasting the day of ‘Ashura, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.” [Reported by Muslim, 1976]
Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “If I remain alive till the next year, I shall also observe fast on the ninth of Muharram (i.e. along with the tenth day.).”[Muslim]
Also, it’s allowed to fast the 10th along with the 11th.
So 9th and 10th OR 10th and 11th inshaAllah , as the Jews fast on the day of ‘Ashura to , the Prophet commanded the Muslims to differ from them , so this is why we fast a day before or after along with the day of ‘Ashura
Therefore, Sunday 2nd Nov and Monday 3rd Nov
OR Monday 3rd Nov and Tuesday 4th Nov
in shaa Allah it’s an expiation for sins committed the previous year
May Allah accept it from us and make it easy for us ameen.
