Keep it clean…

When gossip spreads, everyone adds their lies to it and embellishes it turning one story, that may or may not be true, into a hundred different lies. So how do you find the truth? Simple: Don’t bother yourself with news that doesn’t concern you.

Keep your faith safe, your tongue clean, and your curiosity in check. You know what you get as a result? A clean heart and a mind that can focus on beneficial things.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “From the goodness of a person’s faith is their abandoning of that which doesn’t concern them.” (Tirmidhi)

Allah knows…

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress.It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.Then the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If Allah allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.

Small steps..

Dear readers, we hope you are in the best of health and iman.

Today we wanted to touch upon a topic many feel like they are not doing enough of. You know sometimes we bump into people and find they are more religiously inclined or they appear to have changed their ways and are praying more or memorising Quran, or they are attending classes on religious matter…. Or whatever good deed it may be. And then there’s you walking home beating yourself over what you’ve just heard and killing yourself with grief that ‘o my I’m not doing enough’.

If that’s your situation then remember this, this religion is easy and Allah is ever Merciful, He will not burden a soul more than it can bear. And the best of deeds are those that are done continuously wether they appear teeny tiny in your eyes or not. So look deep into your Ibadahs and see where you are going right and then add more to it slowly…don’t over burden yourself for then whatever you have introduced in your life will leave very quickly. Also bear in mind your intention counts, don’t do it because so and so done it.

Good intention and Consistency is key.

Mamma your crazy!

A Saudi lady doctor told a story about a patient.

A Saudi guy aged 30 named Mohammad entered the lady Doctor’s room and he had his mother with him. She wanted to runaway from his son. She unset her niqab again and again but her son set it again and again. She would bite his hands and spit on his face and her son kept smiling. Then his mother threw her niqab and started laughing and going around the Doctor’s table.The lady doctor asked Mohammad who she was and he replied, ‘my mother’. Then she asked him whats her story.
He replied that she was born with mental disorder. Then she asked how she gave birth to you. He told her “My grandfather made my father marry her to get a son. So my father married her and divorced her after a year and I was born. And since I was about 10 years old, I am the one serving her. When I want to sleep I tie my foot with her foot so that she cannot runaway. The doctor asked him why did you bring her to the clinic. He said that she has sugar and Blood pressure issue.
His Mother was laughing and saying, give me Chips and he gave her the chips and smiled at her and she was laughing again. He rubbed her mouth corner to clean the chips particles from there.
Doctor asked, This is your mother but she doesn’t know you? He replied, By GOD she doesn’t know that I am her son but the ONE who created me knows that she is my mother.
Then the mother shouted at the son, “Hey you liar, why you did not take me to MAKKAH?”, as she saw MAKKAH in the LCD screen. The son replied, “On Thursday Mother, didn’t I tell you that I will take you there on Thursday?” The Doctor said to him that if he takes her to MAKKAH for UMRAH her problem will increase. He said that whenever she wants to go for UMRAH, I take her there , no matter how many times she wants to go, I don’t want that she wishes anything and I don’t make her wish come true which I am able to do it.
Then they went out and the Doctor closed the door and locked it and cried as much as she could to lighten her heart. The Doctor said I have heard parental rights but never saw before a boy whose MOTHER doesn’t know him but his life is all under her feet and he serves her best to please ALLAAH. He could easily send her to a Mental Hospital but he chose to serve her and take care of her so that the door of Heaven remains open in his life and in shaa ALLAAH in the hereafter.
Indeed paradise lies at the feet of Mother. Even if you sacrifice your whole life for your parents, you have done nothing for them!
“Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established.” [Qur’aan: Surah Ibrahim, Verse 41].

Dead Hearts 💔

Dear readers, this is a question to ourselves before you… But don’t you find in today’s world people talk the talk but never walk the walk?! Read Dead Hearts and Empty Supplications to know what we mean…

It is reported that Ibrâhîm b. Adham (d162H) – Allâh have mercy on him – once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked:
O Abû Ishâq, Allâh the Exalted says in his Book.

‘Call on me, I will answer your prayers’, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers. [Ibrâhîm] replied, “O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things:

First, you know Allâh but you do not give Him His rights;

second, you have read Allâh’s Book but you do not act by it;

third, you claim to love Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – yet you abandon his Sunnah;

fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytân but you conform to [his ways];

fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it;

sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning];

seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it;

eighth, you busy yourselves with the faults of others and disregard your own;

ninth, you consume the favors of your Lord but are not grateful for them; and

tenth, you bury your dead but take no lesson from them.”
Abû Nu’aym, Hilyah Al-Awliyâ’ 8: 15, 16.

Scribble your life…

Asalamu’alaykum, dear readers….

A pencil maker told the pencil five important lessons just before putting it in the box:

✏️1. Everything you do will always leave a mark.

✏️2. You can always correct the mistakes you make.

✏️3. What is important is inside of you.

✏️4. In life, you will undergo painful sharpenings which will only make you better.

✏️5. To be the best pencil, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

Sounds like we can apply that to our own lives, doesn’t it?

📌We all need to be constantly sharpened. Never allow yourself to get discouraged, to think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed. ✏️Like the pencil, remember that the most important part of who you are, is what’s inside of you.!!!
