Ramadan Mubarak

Assalamu’alaykum to all our readers,

we ask Allah to bless us all to see this month through. Alhamdulillah for having been given the opportunity to live to see another Ramadan. We should truly be grateful for this blessing, for verily many have left before the start of this month, and many more will leave us during the month, wth some not seeing the end. Consider yourself blessed! May Allah grant us goodness in this world and the next Ameen

You know why?

You might be wondering what the big deal is all about with fasting tomorrow (Tuesday 11th October). Well here it is

Ibn Abbas RadhyAllahu ‘anh reports:

‘When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, he observed the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashurah, so the Prophet ﷺ asked them,

“Why do you fast on this day?”

They replied, “This is a great day. It is on this day that Allah saved Musa and his followers while drowning Pharoah and his people, so Musa fasted this day out of gratitude to Allah. That is why we fast on this day.”

The Prophet ﷺ replied, “We have more right to Musa than you (i.e. we love Musa and follow what he came with [Islam] more than you do),” and thereupon the Prophet ﷺ fasted this day and commanded the people to do likewise.’

[Sahih al Bukhari]

A man asked the Prophet ﷺ about the virtues of fasting the day of ‘Ashurah.

He ﷺ said,
‘I hope that Allah will make it a cause to expiate the sins of the previous year.’

[Sahih Muslim]

It is advisable to also fast the day preceding or the day following ‘Ashurah. One should fast two days: 9th and 10th of Muharram or the 10th and 11th.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

‘If I live until next year, I will fast the 9th along with the 10th (of Muharram).’

[Sahih Muslim]

This was so that his fasting would differ from that of the Jews.

Gotta Catch ’em all..

The next coming days there will be no excuses for people who want to gain maximum rewards in small space of time. What are we talking about? We are talking about 8 days in a row for fasting…what a great reward !!! _commencing next week Tuesday (11th of October)!!_

_Monday (9th of Muharram) _*day before Aashuraa*
_Tuesday (10th of Muharram) _ *day of Aashuraa*
_Wednesday (11th of Muharram) _ *day after Aashuraa*
_Thursday (12th of Muharram) _ *Sunnah days of fasting*
_Friday (13th of Muharram) _ *first day of white days*
_Saturday (14th of Muharram)_ *second day of white days*
_Sunday (15th of Muharram) _ *third day of white days*
_Monday (16th of Muharram) _ *Sunnah days of fasting*

If you are unable to fast you can still partake in this opportunity of gaining reward by spreading the word. *Perhaps one will fast because of your message.*

‎((… مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ ))

*”Whoever points to something good will have the same reward as the one who does it.”* (Reported by Muslim)

Opportunities awaits you…

alhamdulillah for Islam, every where you look is an opportunity presented to us to cleanse our bad deeds and renew ourselves.

We have just finished Dhul’Hujja and then celebrated Eid only to be presented with Muharram and all its special requirements. ❤️💜

Makkah & Madinah announced the 1st day of Muharram was Monday 3rd October. May Allah ‎ ﷻ grant us all the ability to increase in good deeds, & make this year the year of Qur’an for us. Revive the Sunnah of Muharram – fasting on the day of ‘Ashurah, which will occur on Tuesday 11 October 2016 .

So what’s the big deal with Muharram?

Ibn ‘Abbas (Ra) reported that the Prophet ‎ﷺ came to Madinah & saw the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashura. He ‎ﷺ asked: “What is this?” They said: ” This is a blessed day. On this day Allah ‎ ﷻ saved the Children of Israel from firaun & his army & so Musa عليه السلام fasted on this day giving thanks to Allah.” The Prophet ‎ﷺ said: “We are closer to Musa than you are.” He fasted on that day & commanded Muslims to fast on this day. (Al-Bukhari) Ibn Abbas (ra) also narrated that the prophet ‎ﷺ said “fast on the day of Ashurah (10th Muharram) … Fast a day before it or a day after it” “Fasting the day of ‘Ashura’ (is of great merits), I hope that Allah will accept it as an expiation.

The Best 10

There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these 10 days.” [Bukhaari]”

There are no days greater in the sight of Allaah (including Ramadhaan) & in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these 10 days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel (“La ilaaha ill-Allaah”), Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Al Hamdu Lil-laah).” [Ahmad]

A Sunnah of the Prophet s.a.w: “When you see the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, if any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, then he should stop cutting his hair and nails until he has offered his sacrifice.” [Muslim]

A Sunnah: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first 9 days of Dhul-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and 3 days each month – the first Monday and 2 Thursdays of the month”. [Nasaa’i, Abu Dawood]

Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He s.a.w said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” [Muslim]

“There is no day on which Allaah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafaah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’”[Muslim]

What to do on these blessed days

Pray all your Fardh prayers in time, read much Quran and recite many adhkar and make dduah and get up for Qiyamul Layl (night prayer)

Adjust your daily routines and make the most of these precious days.

Inform others & share the reward.

May this also be a reminder for all of us to do good as long as we are getting a chance to do so.
May the blessed 10 days that are around the corner be a means for our tazkiyah and improvement. Allahumma Ameen.

Make the most of it…

There’s not much time left till the new calendar month… If you haven’t fasted the 6 shawaal fasts, then take advantage of the last few days left to do so.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever fasts the month of Ramadhan, then follows it by fasting six days of Shawwal will be rewarded as if he’s fasted the entire year.”
[Reported by Ahmad 5/417]

Do not let this opportunity slip, take advantage and we ask Allah to make us all successful. Ameen.

▶ In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it.

📍 In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allaah more than 100 times by saying “Astaghfir-Allaah (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah).
▶The virtue of seeking forgiveness is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children.

📍 in one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

📍 In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm.

📍 In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are a means of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things.

〰Our children can be our way to Jannah or Jahannam…. the way we raise them depends upon it..

No messing about!

Don’t waste time in these last few nights… Keep your tongue busy your akhira depends on it!
What’s the difference between Maghfirah (مغفرة ) and ‘Afuw (عفو )?
Maghfirah: is for Allah to forgive you for the sin but the sin will still be registered on your book of deeds. Maghfirah is Allah’s forgiveness for your sin but on the Judgment Day it will be written on your record, Allah will ask you about it but HE won’t punish you because of it

*’Afuw*: is for Allah to forgive you for the sin and delete it from your book of deeds as if it did not happen. ‘Afuw is Allah’s pardon for your sin, it will be completely erased from your record and Allah won’t ask you about it on Judgement day

This is why our Prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said that, this is the best Duaa to make on Laylatul Qadr

“Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee”

(Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi)

O Allah, You are The One Who pardons greatly, and You love to pardon, so pardon me.)”

So make sure you read this dua all the time and as much as you can. Make it one of your daily athkaar.
Imagine that you are standing on the day of Judgment being held accountable for your deeds, and you’re not guaranteed your entry to Jannah

May Allah grant us etry into Firdaws with no kitaab and no hisaab Ameen 💗
